“Frangetta” Rachele Sara Fivizzani
Painter
I was born in Casale Monferrato, a small historic town in the province of Alessandria. This town has always had a great influence on me, from the beauty of its landscapes to its rich artistic culture.
Moved by the need to find an environment where I could explore my identity and desire to create, I decided to move to Turin and enroll in the Accademia Albertina delle Belle Arti, where I am currently finishing my Painting degree.
I love experimenting and letting my creative impulse guide me, always using different mediums. I work with oil paints, acrylics and digital, but also non-conventional mediums such as make-up: right now, for example, I’m working on a series of portraits made with make-up brushes and expired eyeshadow palettes.
What inspires me the most is the possibility of changing and evolving. The topics that follow me in my search are closely tied with queer and pop culture, with a particular focus on the representation of sapphic love, that holds a central position in my work.
