Intersectional Pride

Aurora Francesca Ciurca

With this project I wanted to represent the diversity and uniqueness of the people who bring pride marches to life, united in a collective full of color and joy. For years I have thought that the fight for our rights is not isolated, but it intersects with other ones. Who fights for their gender identity’s recognition could also find themselves dealing with racism, sexism and ableism, making everything that much more complicated.
That is what “Intersectional Pride” means, finding collective strength to fight and achieve the rights that we and everyone else is owed. A world without discrimination would be better for everyone.
